Kiwanis Annual Fishing Derby

The Kiwanis Club of Pinellas Park has announced they will be holding their annual Fishing Derby on June 07, 2008 from 8.00 AM—Noon. This year’s derby will be held at Freedom Lake, located at the corner of 49th St and HWY 19 in Pinellas Park.
 
There is no cost involved for boys and girls who attend local elementary and middle schools. Fishing poles, bait and other gear will be furnished.
 
Prizes are awarded for many different kinds of catches (biggest, first, etc.).
 
Local businesses are welcome to participate and donations are needed and welcomed.
 
Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers, dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time. The Pinellas Park club was founded in 1960 and has participated, served and sponsored many local events. Examples of some local projects are: MDA, March of Dimes, the Marty Lyons Foundation, Special Olympics, Horses for the Handicapped and our local PARC.
